Off on an adventure

My last post before I fly out at ridiculous o'clock on Friday morning. At this stage I don't feel like a pilgrim, but I'm sure after flying for nearly 24 hours, a few days in Madrid and a long train trip to the hills of Galicia, I will be ready for my adventure.

People have walked the Camino de Santiago for over 1000 years. I'm looking forward to the quite time, no domestic distractions, the history and people and of course the unexpected aspects of being a pilgrim:).

With my backpack now filled (that's not really me in the photo above), I think I'm ready (as ever) to go!
